Technology
The Portadot HD2 (heavy duty) is a fully programmable dot marking machine easily moved from one application to another around any industrial or commercial site. The well established dot marking technology is reliable in either its electric or pneumatic variants.
Portable
The robust aluminium marking head protected in a metal case allows the Portadot HD2 to be used in the harshest of industrial environments reducing the need to transport heavy items requiring marking to the marking machine.
Highly Flexible
The 100mm by 75mm marking area suits most marking applications from a single programmable system. Variable force control ensures optimum mark depth for all engineering materials up to 62Rc (800Hv). The lead-screw driven marking head guarantees dot precision unmatched on other portable systems. The Portadot HD2 is capable of 2D DataMatrix code marking applications.

Easy to use out of the box
The sturdy design has been created with ease of use in mind. High functionality software ensures operator training is minimized and production efficiency is maximized. The multilingual user interface allows users to choose between different character fonts and type sizes as well as angular and arc marking, serial numbers and date and time marking.
Quiet, Fast, Efficient Marking
Requiring no compressed air supply and powered only by a standard 240 volt (110 volt available) electric source the Portadot HD2 is both highly efficient and is significantly quieter than pneumatically actuated systems.
Wide Range of Options
Standard hardware options include Vee plates for marking round components, base and column for bench mounted applications. The standard electric actuation system can be upgraded to a heavy duty option or pneumatic marking if deep marking is required. The Windows software option allows users to control the system through a familiar PC Windows interface enhancing networking and data storage capabilities. Extended warranty packages are available. Custom design fixturing is available upon request.
